Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival
June 30-July 4, 2012
South Lake Union, Seattle

The 2012 Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival will be the biggest and best The Center for Wooden Boats has held yet. The 36th annual festival opens Saturday June 30th and runs every day through the 4th of July. Come see the boats, build a toy boat, and sit on the grass in Lake Union Park to enjoy the music and the fireworks.

NEW! Sign up for barrel racing with the Seattlle Flying Dragon Boat Club on Saturday, June 30th! No experience required; this event is about fun and teamwork. Register on their website.Interested in the Quick & Daring 24-hour boatbuilding challenge? Boats will be built on-site June 30th and July 1st, then raced on July 4th. Click here for more information.

FESTIVAL REGISTRATION IS OPENThe Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival is growing! While we’ve had five-day festivals in the past, this one is unique now that Lake Union Park is fully open, and we have partnered with One Reel to provide music bookings for July 4th and make Lake Union – both ends – THE destination for Seattle’s Family 4th Fireworks.

We expect over 35,000 Wooden Boat Festival attendees throughout five days: Saturday, June 30th through Wednesday, July 4th.

We are pleased to invite individuals, organizations, and businesses to participate in our festival in three main ways:
•    On-the-water exhibit of your vessel
•    On-shore exhibit of your vessel, wares, or interpretive displays
•    Food and beverage vending for Festival guests

Our Wooden Boat Festival is an opportunity to display your exhibits or products, raise awareness of your organization or business, and help show the diversity of the historical organizations and businesses in our region. It is also an opportunity to meet with other wooden boat owners and wooden boat enthusiasts, to share the rich history, culture, and community of wooden boats.

If you would like to participate in The Center for Wooden Boats’ 36th Annual Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival, please submit one of the following applications through our website. If there is money due as part of your registration, we will contact you with the amount due within three weeks of receiving your submission. For registrations requiring payment, your application is considered complete once we have received payment.

On-the-water exhibit of your vessel
Applications are processed in the order received. Once we’re full, new applications will be placed on the waitlist. Turn in your application early!

On-shore exhibit of your vessel, wares, or interpretive displays
We receive more applications than our site can hold. Priority will be given to vendors with a maritime connection regardless of the order applications are received. Priority ranking is 1) Maritime, 2) Handmade Items/Crafts, 3) Other.

Food and beverage vendors
While we welcome vendors of all types, we will be giving priority to vendors selling food with some connection to our maritime heritage. A refundable reservation deposit of $50 is required.
