Green Lake Park

Welcome to Seattle’s premier Thanksgiving themed running and walking event….The Green Lake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off. Taking place at Green Lake Park on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the event consists of a 10K run/walk, a 5K run/walk, a free kids dash and a post-race celebration that includes the crowd pleasing Mashed Potato Munch Off competitive eating contest. The event supports Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission through a cash donation as well as the well-needed onsite canned food drive.
Burn the Turkeys!
Again we will be giving you the chance to BURN THE TURKEYS by competing against them in the 5K portion of the event. One male and one female turkey will toe the line in this year’s run. If you finish the race before your gender of turkey, your name will be automatically entered into a drawing for a variety of great post-race prizes.
