The Bremerton Blackberry Festival is held each year on the Labor Day weekend, rain or shine.

Daily Highlights

Saturday Only
Fly-In & Car Show Be sure to visit Bremerton National Airport for a car show and Fly-In from 9am – 4 p.m. on Saturday, with FREE Young Eagles airplane rides available for kids ages 8-17 provided by Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 406. Airport activities also include The West Sound Military Vehicle Preservation Club encampment and display of vehicles, equipment and uniforms. For information on the Fly-In, contact Jim Swartwood at  jimswartwood@comcast.net.

An airport/downtown shuttle bus will operate on Saturday from 10:30 am. – 5 p.m. with departures from the Bremerton Transportation Center (at the ferry terminal) on the hour, and from the airport on the half-hour.  Fare is $2 each way (ages 8 and older).

The Northwest BeechBoys Formation Team will  do a fly over at 12:45pm over the Bremerton Boardwalk.

Sunday Only
“Chalk the Block” Art Contest Artists of all ages are invited to come and “Chalk the Block” on Sunday at 2nd Street and Washington Avenue. Check-in starts at 12:30pm. Artists will have from 1pm to 4pm to create their masterpieces. Judging will be at 4pm, with prizes awarded in each division. For more information, contact Kathy Davis-Hayfield at kathydh3286@gmail.com.

Festival-goers can also chalk a square for free from 10am to 4pm in the Blackberry Festival Poster Mural, located in the same area of 2nd and Washington.

Thanks to the Yacht Club Broiler and the Boat Shed Restaurants for the Gift Certificates and the Kitsap County Arts Board for helping to supply the chalk.

Monday Only
Enjoy a family-friendly walk and burn off some of those blackberry calories and raise awareness for a worthy cause by participating in the Walk Me Home for Foster Care. Get a raffle ticket with every Coke produce you purchase. Registration begins at 9am at booth #64 on the boardwalk. The route leaves from the Blackberry Festival main stage area, circles Evergreen Rotary Park and returns to the festival in time for lunch Prizes will be awarded at 4pm at booth #64 for the top five fund raisers.
