“One of the most complex and exciting stand-ups working in America today. Like an idealistic hippy stuck inside the body of a testosterone-pumped US marine. He’s been likened to late great US comedians such as Bill Hicks and Sam Kinison, but although he exhibits a similar brand of furious indignation, his observations and revelations are entirely his own. His angry, insightful act is an absorbing battle between his raw libertarian instincts and his refined liberal sensibilities.” –William Cook, The Guardian

A standup comedian for more than 20 years, Joe Rogan sells out theaters internationally with his inquisitive and intense comedic style. Rogan released his third hour special, Joe Rogan Live From The Tabernacle, exclusively through his website on December 18, 2012. He starred in the hour specials Talking Monkeys in Space (2009) now available on CD & DVD and Joe Rogan Live (2007) now available on DVD, and released the CD’s Shiny Happy Jihad (2007) and I’m Gonna Be Dead Someday (2000).

Rogan is host of The Joe Rogan Experience, featuring long form conversation with guests that is one of the most popular comedy podcasts on iTunes. Fans can watch the podcast on Ustream and the podcast can also be heard on Sirius XM’s “The Virus” channel on Saturdays at Noon ET and Sundays at 5:00 AM and 6:00 PM ET.

Joe’s Syfy TV series, Joe Rogan Questions Everything, premiered on July 24 with 1.3 million viewers as the highest rated Syfy reality series in five months. A life-long unexplained paranormal mystery-addict, the show features Joe venturing into unknown worlds and untapped territories to search for answers to life’s most startling theories.

Since 2002, Rogan has provided color commentary for the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) on Pay Per View, Spike Television and now on FOX. Rogan’s passion for MMA began with martial arts practice at the age of 13. Within two years, the Boston native earned a black belt and soon became the Massachusetts full contact Tae Kwon Do champion four consecutive years. By the age of 19, Rogan won the US Open Tae Kwon Do Championship and as lightweight champion went on to beat both the middle and heavyweight title-holders to obtain the Grand Championship.

Rogan was recently seen in the film Here Comes The Boom and he starred in the film Zookeeper (2011). Rogan hosted the high stakes game show Fear Factor, on NBC in 2011/12 and previously for six seasons from 2001-2006. Prior to Fear Factor, Rogan played Joe Garrelli, the resident electrician on the hit NBC comedy series NewsRadio.

    Hi there,

I didn’t know Joe Rogan was a comedian. In fact, I didn’t know Joe Rogan did anything other than the show Fear Factor back in that day–which teenage me thought was kind of lame because I would do most of that stuff without the incentive of money…eat whatever, jump off of whatever, lay in a plexiglass sarcophagus of whatever…’evidently, fear was not a factor for teenage me.’ Except for clowns. If clowns were involved, I would be out. No words, just walk off the show. Anyway, the show was cancelled and with it, I assumed, Joe Rogan’s career. HOWEVER, my favorite person in the entire world, KP, knew Joe Rogan carried on. KP and I met 10 years ago in college. KP followed Joe Rogan when he went on to host UFC and diligently listened to his podcast. KP once tried telling me about Joe Rogan’s podcast, a failed and fruitless conversation spent mostly explaining to me what a podcast was (I can’t be the only millennial that doesn’t grasp this…right?) and who Joe Rogan is (as I’ve expressed I pretty much thought he was dead or retired they way all former stars do…as a ride conductor at Disney Land). Suffice it to say, I still don’t know what Joe Rogan’s podcast is all about.

So why would I want to attend Joe Rogan’s comedy night? I don’t want to go to the show to learn more about Joe Rogan and what he’s been up to. I don’t even really want to go to surprise KP with tickets…though that is part of it and would be incredible. The real reason I would like to attend is this…bear with me… KP, back in the day and now, was obsessed with Andrew W.K. So obsessed that when I wanted us to get a pet in college, he OK’d us getting a turtle IF and ONLY IF, it were named Andrew W.K. I got KP tickets to an Andrew W.K. show. We got the turtle. His name was Andrew W.K. Since AWK’s passing (RIP little buddy) a new pet was purchased and named accordingly after another one of KP’s heros, Reggie from Reggie and the Full Effect–who we also went to see together. So, the reason I would like to win these tickets is because I would like to get a cat and I’m pretty sure, if I surprise KP with tickets, he will get me a cat named Joe Rogan…which would be awesome and makes way more sense than having a cat named The Avett Brothers which I will also try to win tickets for.

Anyway, thanks for considering me to win the tickets! I hope I win so I can spend one of these rainy days with Joe Rogan curled up on my lap.

JOE ROGAN in Seattle? This would be an awesome night out for my friend and I. We were just talking about how it’s been too long since we have seen good stand up and neither of us have been to the Moore Theatre. We could acknowledge 4/20 and laugh our butts off. This would be too perfect! Thanks for considering us for this special night!

Ooooh Joey Rogan. Does no one know you do stand up? I would love to actually see him live for once and I GUARANTEE that if I go, I will convince him to he a cave spider will immersed in a tank filled with rats and assorted cheese plates. I think that’s reason enough. But hey, what do I know right? Emirite? Or am I right? I think I’m right…Let’s just go with I’m right.

  20. Rohan Madtha April 15, 2016 at 12:52 pm #

Joe Rogan is mah main man, like a modern day version of Willie Nelson, or a more palatable Russell Brand. I like his unapologetic style, and of course, his podcast is nice too. Given his stance on marijuana, seeing Joe Rogan live on 4/20 would be quite fitting. Obviously, I didn’t write an essay on here like the first guy, but I’m happy just to be considered. Love this town :)

  21. Josh C April 15, 2016 at 4:05 pm #

This would make an excellent date night!

  22. Zack April 15, 2016 at 6:03 pm #

  24. Scott April 18, 2016 at 4:46 pm #

I would love to see Joe Rogan do stand up! He’s an intelligent and funny man

  25. Josh Bosma April 18, 2016 at 9:18 pm #

I came up watching Fear Factor.

I now listen to JRE and also love his comedy as well as his work with the UFC.

I moved here from Iowa a year ago and never thought I would have a slim chance to see him live…on 4/20 to boot!

Please consider me for just one ticket!

Thank you for the opportunity and good luck to all!
