Publish The Quest is made up of 6 musicians, who call Seattle home; or at least basecamp.. A Trio version of the band has also been playing gigs that are further away from Home, like in Zimbabwe and Tanzania. Jacob Bain started the band in 2008.. Publish The Quest has put out 2 full length albums, with a 3rd right around the corner.. they also released a single after a trip to the Cape Verde Islands in 2010, of the song Sodade.
Cascadia ’10 is the echo of AfroBeat in the Pacific NorthWest. With sound resonating from Nigeria to the Emerald City, we are a small army of experienced musicians bringing hypnotic funk to hips and feet.
Dusu Mali Band plays African blues rock & roll. “Dusu” means “heart”. The heart is where their music originates, and that is where the band wants you to feel their music.
Some Dusu songs are based on traditional West African music, but most originate completely from the minds and hearts of the band members. Wherever the origin, all of the songs are developed as a group. The music continues to develop over time as the band is always searching for a new approach to bring to their live experience.
Darek Mazzone has been a Producer/DJ for the last 20 years, starting in Boston, MA at a production company called Interlock Media Associates. Darek produced films about the struggles of indigenous tribes to protect their land and way of life from encroaching modernization and exploitation. Films such as “Rainforests Proving their Worth” and ” The First Link” gave Darek a deep understanding of the importance of cultural exchange.
