Endangered Species: A Seattle based Parliament Funkadelic tribute band with Funk on the agenda…

Elton Jah: Imagine your favorite Elton John hits. Now imagine them delivered in a funky, rocksteady reggae stream of FUN and that’s when you get ELTON JAH! Costumes, motion graphics, lights, etc. The live experience is the best time you can have at a tribute show because the material, the GENIUS of Sir Elton John is undeniable.

Chaotic Noise Marching Corps is a Seattle based renegade marching band that is dedicated to keeping the tradition of music, performance, energy, havok, discipline and sheer stupid fun alive in Seattle’s streets.

Imaginary Friends:

Two dudes that grew up in Mill Creek, ran in various social circles and finally linked up to create Imaginary Friends. MC Joe Black performed solo for years and is always studying and perfecting his writing and emceeing craft. DJ Bebop has a background in dance, which he currently teaches. He is a respected DJ, performing in various bars and clubs in the greater Northwest area. Recently Bebop received 3rd place at the Redbull Threestyle DJ Battle in Seattle. With influences in every genre of music imaginable and an unhealthy love of shows and films, this duo pushes the boundaries of the typical Hip-Hop sound with socially conscious and imaginative topics and ideas. Imaginary Friends has a reputation for energy in their live shows – never a dull moment!

I love P-Funk! Apparently they are gonna tear the roof off Nectar, and I was hoping to land my spaceship on the dance floor if that’s the case. The musicians in this lineup are gonna be tight. It’s looking like a good blend of styles from the bands like dub and funk. So I think this is a show not to be missed. I may have to sneak in if I can’t afford to pay or get on the list. Can’t wait!!! Funk yeah!

Stumbled upon The Nectar last Spring as the melodies of the music drew me in to dance. It was a Sunday night so there was plenty of room on the dance floor! Caught Elton Jah on Halloween where I was able to eek out a micro chip space to boogie down. I’d love to win tickets so I could drag a friend along and expose them to the joyous rapture of new music, interesting people and a sweet place to get funky!
