Like the mythical creature rising from the ashes of its predecessor, The Fenix will reopen in its sixth incarnation at 124 S. Washington St., the former location of The Last Supper Club — and less than a block from the last Fenix nightclub.
According to owner Rick Wyatt, a veteran of the Pioneer Square bar/nightclub industry, the new venue is another milestone in Fenix history. The club will feature a 400-capacity street-level showroom, with a stage and full bar, as well as a large mezzanine overlooking the main floor. The club includes an underground space, Level One, with its own bar and stage. This gives the ability to host a variety of entertainers on multiple stages on the same night. As in the past, The Fenix will have an intimate, come-as-you-are vibe. There will be a little something for all.
Rick’s goal is to make sure everyone feels welcome.
Bookings will feature local and national live music acts to be expected by longtime fans of The Fenix, as well as a variety of DJs spinning various styles of electronic dance music. Theme nights will showcase Seattle’s growing burlesque and erotica scene. On top of all of this there will be multiple TV’s and an updated sound system to host overflow from sporting events in the neighborhood. The Fenix is a little bit of everything; music venue, nightclub, restaurant and sports bar!
“The Fenix represents the official return of live music to Pioneer Square,” says Wyatt, who opened his first Fenix on Yesler Way nearly two decades ago. “It’ll be a full swing back. After we open, Pioneer Square will have a half dozen live-music venues — The Fenix, Fuel, the J&M Cafe, the Central Saloon and the New Orleans Creole Restaurant.”
The Grand Opening will take place on New Year’s Eve and will feature Hell’s Belle’s, an all-female AC/DC tribute band, with special guests. The club’s resident DJ will preform on Level ONE and offer an electronic mix of rock & roll and EDM mash-ups. Tickets, as well as more information, can be found at strangertickets.com. General Admission tickets will start at $25 and VIP tickets will go on sale for $60 each and include access to a private bar, light appetizers, champagne and more!
