From Wikipedia: Formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1988 following the demise of Green River, Mudhoney’s members are vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm, lead guitarist Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison, and drummer Dan Peters. Original bassist Matt Lukin left the band in 1999 but briefly returned in December 2000 to complete touring obligations.
Mudhoney’s early releases on Sub Pop, particularly debut single “Touch Me I’m Sick” and the Superfuzz Bigmuff EP, were massively influential on the Seattle music scene, helping more than almost any other releases of the era to inspire the dirty, high-distortion sound that would become grunge. Mudhoney is also notable for its mixing of heavy blues rock and punk rock. The band has yielded 10 studio albums, it inspired many grunge and alternative rock musicians.

Who wouldn’t want to go to this show! Awesome band at an awesome venue!!
I will always remember hearing “Touch Me I’m Sick” in the late 80′s’s when I was still in high school back in the Midwest. This band changed my LIFE! This was the first I had ever really heard of grunge and from then on, I wanted to visit this magical, faraway place called “Seattle”. It wasn’t until many years later that I finally made it out to the Emerald City. I will always associate my initial love of Seattle with Mark Arm’s screaming voice!
My boyfriend is a big fan and he’s wonderful so we should get them. ;)
This is my husbands FAVORITE band!!!! I would be the best wife in the world if I could suprise him with tickets. He never does anything for himself. He needs to have some fun. He works way to much and way too hard.
Mudhoney is synonymous with grunge and Seattle. They played a vital role in establishing the “Seattle sound”. Seeing this legendary band at a classic venue like the Showbox would be an awesome experience!
Mudhoney are legendary. Have seen them several times-but it has been far too long! Would love the chance to rock out with them at Neumo’s.
Did I mention it would be an awesome anniversary present for my wife and I?
because I LOVE mudhoney, that’s why! Can’t wait to hear their new tracks.
Yes, please!!! Love these guys. So much energy. This night will be awesome.
I remember the music scene here before grunge was actually called grunge. It’s time to get out again and rock!!!!!!
Wow! I didn’t know they were still touring! Seeing them live would be awesome!!
These guys are so old! Like me! Time to break out the flannel!
If I win tickets to this I will certainly have a hangover on Easter…
It would be wonderful to see them. So influential to grunge. Was too young when they were in their heyday to see them live. Never seen them live, been too broke, busy, no car, and with stick in mud people who didn’t want to go out to see such shows. Still broke, but less busy, have wheels, and better company. Therefore, it is time to see them at long last.
Haven’t seen them in years, this is gonna be an awesome show
I would love to see Mudhoney to revisit the “good old days”!
I want to win because it’s my birthday! Well, it’s on April 1st, but celebrating out on the 30th. And I’m old enough to have seen them back in the day and know they rock. I’d love to see them again!
I remember blasting Mudhoney in my buddy Eric’s basement studio when we were just starting playing in bands back in the cold midwest. This was during the early days of the Seattle hype. We thought the world had imploded when we heard the insanly loud blues rock riffs for the first time. We would fight over who got the few copies of the newest Mudhoney records that hit our tiny but good record store. We wanted to be those guys, and have been playing music, albiet far more slopily since then. Influential is a word I do not use lightly, and in this instance it carries extra weight.
Mudhoney in a mid-sized club? A NO-BRAINER! 8-)
Congratulations Lisa!
