Teatro ZinZanni is thrilled to invite you to join Nordic gods Wotan, Thor, Freya and the gang in Valhalla as they celebrate the end of the worldDinner at Wotan’s is co-directed by Teatro ZinZanni founder Norm Langill and Swedish triple threat and Seattle rising star Tobias Larsson (Return To Paradise, 2012; co-choreographedBonsoir Liliane! with Tommy Tune, 2011) who will also choreograph and star in this production.

Hailed in the New York Times as an offbeat delight and soon to be featured on the Food Network’s ‘World’s Weirdest Restaurants’ in Spring 2013, Teatro ZinZanni, now in its 15th year in Seattle, continues to present a locally produced cirque-themed dinner theatre experience brimming with the finest local and international talent of all varietiesDinner at Wotan’s is an electric mix of fresh performances, like Swedish superstar Anki Albertsson, and impeccable repeat acts like Vertical Tango, back my popular demand, and the incredible return of performance veterans Los Excéntricos, a group who performed in Teatro ZinZanni’s opening show in 1998.

An ode to the Northwest’s Nordic community, Dinner At Wotan’s will musically rock the tent, presenting a hybrid of the classical sounds of Wagner’s The Ring and big, epic rock sounds, like Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. “A lot of rock tunes live very close to classical pieces, so we’re trying to mix that classical world with the rock, and course, with our own Durkee-ZinZanni style,” co-director Tobias Larsson commented. The music of Dinner at Wotan’s is composed by legendary Teatro ZinZanni musical composer Norman Durkee with lyrics by Martha Davis (Hail Caesar!), long-time front woman for the new wave band The Motels, best known for such hits as “Only the Lonely” and “Suddenly Last Summer.”

I want to go so bad! I just can’t bring myself to spend the money when there are bills to be paid. The menu sounds phenomenal.

  2. Tristen Warner March 13, 2013 at 2:02 pm #

My sweetheart and I have wanted to come to a show since the tent opened in Seattle. Through many misadventures we have yet to have the pleasure.
We are both performers, artists and now young parents, so while we do go out its typically to work and not to see a show. It would be amazing to sit and experience this show. I know it would inspire both of us and be the highlight of our springtime (As well as our winter)

  3. Alyssa Parker March 13, 2013 at 2:03 pm #

I would love to bring my mother as a celebration for reaching 5 years cancer-free! This would be a fun (and delicious) night out together.

  4. Christine March 13, 2013 at 2:03 pm #

I’ve never experienced Teatro ZinZanni. Looks like a gorgeous production!

  5. Matt Smith March 13, 2013 at 2:07 pm #

Wow, this show sounds amazing! I’ve always wanted to see one of their shows, I would love to go to this! I can go to any of the days, so if you choose me, I have a flexible schedule. And as a Scandinavian, this would be the show for me! Thanks for all the great give aways guys, and please pick me!

  6. Eric Pope March 13, 2013 at 2:13 pm #

I want to go to this show because Wotan the Faeriesmasher is the name of my character I perform under here in the northwest. Every year I entertain families at the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire and Faerieworlds as a large brute who tries to smash those no good little faeries. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85huAHpA8pY

  7. Sandie March 13, 2013 at 2:13 pm #

I have heard how wonderful this is from my daughter and close friends whom have seen multiple shows over the years. It has always intrigued me to see it, I just have not had the chance to due to injuries I’ve dealt with since 2008. I am finally healed and am finally able to attend. It would be a wonderful surprise for both my love and myself to be able to attend and enjoy.

  8. UN IM KIM March 13, 2013 at 2:22 pm #

I would love to bring my dad who has been working non-stop for our family, this will give him a reason to take a day off!

    Thank you!

  9. Mike Barber March 13, 2013 at 2:26 pm #

I’m a single dad and could use a really exciting night out with my girlfriend, who’s a single mom. Help!

  13. Brianna Thornberry March 13, 2013 at 3:14 pm #

My daughter is turning 14 and i recently lost my job and we had to move in with her grandparents! I can’t afford to do anything for her birthday and this would really be great for her, to lift her spirits too. She had to move away from all her friends and it’s been really hard

  14. Frank Byers March 13, 2013 at 3:56 pm #

I have never been to a Scandinavian cultural event, so I am excited for this one.

  15. Katie March 13, 2013 at 4:23 pm #

I’ve lived in Seattle for a little over a year now and haven’t meet anyone of been able to enjoy it really. It’s beautiful here but the raining and no sun all the time makes it a little hard to appreciate. I’m almost ready to move back to Colorado. I’d want to win tickets to attend ZinZanni’s to check it out, see what Seattle’s got to offer, meet, drink, mingle, and have a good time. Hot and single and can bring a hot single girlfriend.

  16. Matt Daniel March 13, 2013 at 6:49 pm #

    I have never been!!! :(

  17. washsquarehomes March 13, 2013 at 8:12 pm #

  23. kurt wiesenbach March 14, 2013 at 10:08 am #

Food and a show? Hell yes!

  24. Matthew Duket March 14, 2013 at 10:11 am #

My new girlfriend is coming down from Vancouver this weekend to visit for the first time. What better way to introduce her to Seattle’s Nordic roots (and mine…1/4 Swedish!) than with this awesome ZinZanni production. If I’m lucky enough to win, please book us for Sunday the 17th. :) (and yes, this is a re-posting of a comment I left on Facebook. I’m pressed for time. Pi Day awaits!!!)

  25. Bridget Deslauriers March 14, 2013 at 10:20 am #

I went to one of TZ’s productions about 7 years ago as I got this tickets as a gift & WOW!! What a fun time! Not only is the food beyond yummy but the experience is amazing. I’d love to win tickets & take my husband as he’s never been to anything like this & our budget doesn’t allow for fun treats like this.

  57. Charles March 15, 2013 at 11:12 am #

I’ve been by the location many times, seen the ads on buses, and pined over going for many years. However, the cost of the show is too much for my limited budget to bear, so I have not yet had the pleasure of attending your show.

  58. LaKeshia Porcincula March 15, 2013 at 12:33 pm #

I have always dreamed of going to one of these shows! It was actually what I wanted to do for my 30th birthday this month. But with 3 kids ages 3 and 2 finances would never allow for such a thing. It has been a tough year for my husband and I we could really use a fun night out. Without having to feel guilty about spending bill, food or diaper money. Pick us please it would mean so much!

  59. Stacy March 15, 2013 at 2:55 pm #
