How’s your trash fashion savvy? Curious about what can be created with a bit of rubbish and ingenuity? Wonder where such fashion might go in the next 50 years? Please join us for a somewhat irreverent glimpse into this disposable couturier culture next weekend at Trash Fashion Futures.
Part of the Next 50 at Seattle Center, haute trash fashionistas from across the country and beyond – a total of 20 designers and over 40 never-before-seen designs – will present a stunning collection of couture made entirely from society’s rubbish. Creative sets and photo imagery will set the ambiance for this entertaining and educational fashion adventure into consumption and waste.
Expect the unexpected, as these designers have some big ideas in mind. They’ll explore the progression of fashion as well as society’s use of disposable plastic and the rise of recycling….. from 1962, till now and into the future.
